In the Autumn on the Ground

In the Autumn on the ground, between the traffic and the ordinary sounds I learned about love. Have you ever just watched the leaves fall? For me it's like watching the birds. Even if just for a moment. Its just so entirely calming. I know what my Father meant by the Rock and the Feather....

A few weeks ago walking alone in Chelsea on a Saturday morning; and well feeling alone my mind was full of thoughts like what about me, what will become of me, where do I belong, what's taking so long. Lord where are you? I looked like that little robot Joyce Meyer is so oft to emulate who echoes only one refrain, "What about me?, What about me?, and again What about me?"

Can you imagine my Father's viewpoint? He is saying pay not any attention to your absence but more attention to my Presence. The angels I send. The angels who stand now in guard. Those sent just to share a breeze. Those sent to mine own heart appease. Silly children. When will I grow up?*

Not receiving all that my Father gives. All his provision falling into unappreciative hands.**

However, all I felt was despair. Walking and thinking like a Fatherless child. It was amusing since The feather wafts and flows in the wind while the rock drops like a thud. The feather is beautiful airy and light. The rock is ugly and heavy. The feather is white, pure and true while the rock only thuds.

In any case, the feather represents us as Christians. Light, beautiful and lovely and full of whismy. Blowing in the spirit (the wind) wherever it may take us and seemingly enjoying the sudden thrusts.

While the rock though from the earth isn’t lovely, holds no color and isn’t full of any light/ its trajectory is as only sound as the thrower (scary). Its destination and path is pretty certain. Though, it would take a machine (evil??) not human force to project it far.

But back to that feather it wafts here and wafts there, travels far but remain close to its master.

When rocks join together to form they can form avalanche and crush our poor little destiny.

But, a feather when linked up with its kin forms insular warmth or comfort for a weary head. It comes from a free bird, the Father, who can fly so why shouldn’t the created soar to new heights as well.

I've been looking for a rock not a feather.

I am a feather standing steady on the rock of Christ.

May you be as light as feather and as stiff a board and levitate unto the heights!

BTW, And isn't the word Autumn so much fancier than Fall ;)

Twist and Shout

This twist out makes me want to shout and my wash and go isn't too bad, though!

Now, you see why I like the Solo pic. I love that color! ;-) She also just has more volume aka weave to get the effect on the last post.
Eco Styler! (limited usage of cantu shea butter with EVOO prepoo)

I have waves or curls or something! ;-0) (Nostalgia. )

Learning!

Obsessed

There is nothing I don't like about this photo.

Hair. Stunning.
Skirt. Fab.
Top. Sexy (love the tie. It's grown and sexy)
Smile. True.

I need a real life version. Perhaps a tank underneath a similar top...in white. That would be very fresh and everyday!

I'm Happy

I remember when I listened to this song a few years back. I was in that placing looking for my own joy, trying to find my place and trying to find my sound but guess what. I've found it.

I know my voice. (I know God's voice.)
I know my place (in the arms of God)

and true enough, I am happy...

OverFlow

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8

*abound |əˈbound|
( abound in/with) have in large numbers or amounts : this land abounds with wildlife.

Amen.
I thank God for abundance! I am NOT satisfied with self-sufficiency. I THANK God for overflow.

My biggest pet peeve in life is people who use the authority of their position, of their finances, of their intellect, of their status, their stature, their health, their wisdom, their birth, their love, anything to create a separation to create an isolation, even a tiny reverberation into the atmosphere whereby they lower or lessen the speech, status, personhood of another.

I can't. I simply cannot stand it. With me that degradation cannot stand. Around me it has no credence. No creed, no intellect gained by birth or study can supersede the personage of another.

It's why I was created (in part). The largest part, my passion, and my vocation is this aim. The increase of others. The building back up of their walls of protection. The fish gate, the sheep gate, etc. (to be continued)

I love provision. I was created for protection. In nothing can I escape my purpose and I don't seek to. I seek to to  "abound in every good work" that God places in my hands to do.

The reason I am blessed is to be a Blessing, (duh!)

Happy Friday, Beautiful ;-)‏

Your Father sees you as beautiful; so it must be so.

"The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him,
for he is your lord"
(Psalm 45:11, NIV).

*In full disclosure' this Psalm is about a wedding but we are also brides of Christ ;-) Isaiah 62;5b "as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you."

The Wind

"I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth"
(Isaiah 58:14).

If a bird is flying for pleasure, it goes with the wind.
But if the bird meets danger, it turns right around and faces the wind, in order that it may rise higher; and it flies away towards the very sun.

Holidays, words, and The Word. A few of my favorite things!

People say you have to have money or power to get along in the world’s economy. But we have the power of Christ. Christ trumps all: race, color, creed, or financial background. Our God is no respecter of persons.
“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.” (Deuteronomy 10:17)
So there you have it. God doesn't take a bribe. Your money is no good there. So, no matter your financial status or being deemed a minority.Though it seems the majority buys their joy. Though their connections place them in seemingly unattainable positions for those of us without earthly clout or infinite wealth. My Father sits high and looks low. He takes no bribes but has all power in His hands.
God's power is infinite his resources beyond reproach. I love the God I serve. So glad He chose me.
Oh yeah and Happy St. Patty's Day!

Saint Patrick described himself as a "most humble-minded man, pouring forth a continuous paean of thanks to his Maker for having chosen him as the instrument whereby multitudes who had worshipped idols and unclean things had become the people of God."

*paean |ˈpēən|
noun
a song of praise or triumph.
• a thing that expresses enthusiastic praise : his books are paeans to combat.

The Secret Garden

So, in the new year I plan to read more classics. Kindle has an app for my smartphone and among the many free selections are some very nice classics.

It's funny just how much simple wisdom is in these books geared towards kiddos. First, I was enamored and in love with the prose of To Kill a Mockingbird.  These words inspired me to rediscover or discover for the first time the Classics. First up, The Secret Garden.

First, who knew the Secret Garden held the key to eliminating anxiety. Who ever heard of a little book focused on the pseudo-crazy of anxious children and one crotchety old "bachelder". It was funny how once they left the prison of their minds and entered a world of life and love in the garden their dispositions were revolutionized.

They were able to do this via a passion they each discovered for gardening and unknown passion each desired for relationship.

Also, I love how they wove into the fabric of the book the benefits of positive thinking, meditation on good and chanting. It was so quick you could have missed it how they gave credence to the Joy Maker /Big Good Thing as Susan Sowerby called it or  the magic as Colin dubbed it. The old gardener Ben recalled the words he thought might most aptly describe the magic that the group discovered as he eked out the words of the Doxology.

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye Heavenly Host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
I don't think you are ever too old to enter The Secret Garden.
